why some people mock others for their skin color or religion?

Some people think that being white makes them superior,while none of us had this chance to choose our skin color before birth.Or we're all free to choose a religion,and divine religions are same in rudimentary issues,so why some people criticize others for these things?While we are all human,and the humanity is the same.

i dislike all religion equally for this point, its breeds ignorance and intolerance....... differenet skin colour is only interesting if you dont have the same accent as my own, then i might be interested in the different culture, always positively though
