how do i re-unlock my iphone?

I accidentally updated my unlocked 1st gen 8 gig I phone. I then updated it with the at&t sim in the phone in itunes to restore factory setting (aka relocked it). I am trying to unlock it again with ziphone (the way i unlocked it originally). I plug it in with the at&t sim and click jailbreak and unlock...it says it is rebooting it in recovery mode and goes thru the process and all seem right. Then after the status bar on the bottom is done- nothing happens it continues to say "re-booting in recovery mode". Did I Brick it? how can i unlock it again?

I am not sure if you have bricked it. If you have not, then try to get a permanent unlock which is not lost during upgrade. You can use the remote unlock service from Mobileunlocksolutions.com and unlock your iPhone.
