Few Question about Guinea Pigs and do you like the name I chose?

I am getting my first piggy 2mrw and I was wondering does your pig need acouple of days to settle like hamsters, or can I play with him the same day purchase. Second do piggies bite if so does it hurt. Third squeaking means they are happy right? Piggies are NOT nocturnal right? Cause I still need time for my hammie. =] Also I was wondering how much attention do they need a day cause I will only be purchasing one for the time being.

Finally what do you think Syrus for a boy, and Circa (like the shoes) for a girl?
Oh how could I forget which gender is nice and how to there personality differ??

1 i would let em settle
2 yea they do bite i got bite before but only if you tease them
3 they can squeak wen ever ( wen sum1 walks in the room, wen your about 2 feed it etc.)
4 they sleep @ night
5 as long as u feed em it will b the happiest guinea in the world but it does like attention
6 syrus is cool circa is not but watever
