HD ready TV, Built In DVD, How do I watch films in HD ? 10 pts?

Hi, I got a HD tv for my bedroom today, it has a built in DVD player, I was wondering how do I view films in HD ? I have a PS3 but I dont wanna go through the trouble of wires, HDMI etc when it has a built in DVD player, is it possible even to watch films in HD, if it is, how do I do this

If the tv is only HD ready, I dont expect the DVD player will be 'Bluray' so you wont be able to watch HD DVD's. You will need an external HD player of some sort, but you still won't have full 1080 resolution.

HD quality movies are roughly 4 times better quality than DVD quality. If you wanna watch HD then you gotta connect your PS3 to your TV via a high quality connection such as HDMI. Then you go and buy a BluRay of your favourite movie and watch it in your PS3.
