just bought an ipod, but....?! problems?

So.. I bought an ipod a couple of days ago, and the second time I connected it to my pc it needed to restore.. I followed all guidelines, but then after using it some more it read "corrupted" on the screen and said it needed to restore. So I did it again, and right now I'm on the third time restoring.. I don't know what's causing it and I'd like some experienced ipod users advise on that.. Thank you in advance and sorry for my English!

i have to add that i am currently facing some problems with my pc. I'm not sure it's a virus or something else... I am also afraid it may affect my ipod.. *cry for help*
