I want to buy one of them, but which one?
What does the iPod Touch have that the iPhone doesn't?
Why should I not get the iPhone?
I already have the iPod Touch 1G and a phone.

Thom is a retard... i guess he doesn't know what 2g means. Definitely get the ipod touch because if you aren't eligible for an ugrade from your 2-year plan, the iphone will cost around 700 dollars
There are only a few differences between the iPhone and the Touch, and, other than the lack of phone, point to the Touch being a bit better:
Touch has longer battery life (36 hours, vs. 24 for iPhone).
Touch is thinner at 8.5 mm, vs. 12.3 for iPhone.
Touch has silver back, iPhone has black or white.
Touch comes in 8, 16, and 32 GB models, iPhone in 8 and 16 only.
Both have a built-in speaker.
Both can use Apps and Wi-Fi Internet.
Both can store and view pictures and movies.
iPhone starts at $199 on a plan, Touch starts at $229.
iPhone has camera, Touch doesn't.
iPhone can use Internet through phone service (if Wi-Fi not available).
Both have about the same performance otherwise, and they can both run apps and other stuff equally well.
