i can not get volume control on computer?

go to add remove programs. when the window opens click add and remove windows components on the left side (it's a button). select what you need installed and there ya go. This could also have happened if you formatted lately... if you did look into getting your sound drivers installed.

You should have volume buttons on the keyboard somewhere, that's where my old laptop had it.

The same buttons should control external speakers or headphones too.
