Does an IPod Touch have a camera in it?

I am getting one for christmas when i went and bought it with my dad it looked like it had a camera on it but I now i am being told it doesn't have a camera and also i have bought a cover for it and it has a hole in it for a camera..

Currently the only "ipod" that have a camera are the iphones. Quite interesting that the itouches dont have it, since they're supposed to be like the iphones-without the phone.

I'm guessing it will be available for the 3rd generation, which should come out in sept 2009 (because the last 2 have been at that time).
