Setting up iPod with New Computer/iTunes..?

So my computer crashed the other day and it had all of my music on their with purchased iTunes. I cannot use that computer whatsoever. And we got a new computer now.

Is there anyway that I can set my iPod up with this computer and not lose all of my music?

My brother did the same thing, and he had to restore it andlost all of his music.

I don't want to waste all of that money and start over.

    Help?
    Note: Its Windows Vista

just install iTunes first before connecting ur iPod. then go into preferences and un-check the option for auto-syncing ur iPod. that way, if u now connect ur iPod, it will not be automatically wiped clean.
