XviD Video Players...?

Well i have recently downloaded a movie off the internet, and it states that it is a XviD file. Only ive tried to play this file on quite alot of things, and it always says that this player cannot support this media file. So Far I Have tried:
BS Player
VLC
I Cant think of the rest. So any ideas on how i can get it to play ?

mplayer comes off linux (and xvid is very available on that) but it is also available for Windows. it's old but plays everything you throw at it, even the newest stuff. Information at http://www.mplayerhq.hu
