Will you spend money buying a blu ray dvd player?

oh my god I just watched the Transformers on blu ray and I felt so silly I did not know that it was that much better than regular dvds,My son wants one for christmas and I told him no because it wouldn't be no different than the regulars I was wrong I have watched transformers a dozen times but when I saw it over a friends house on big screen and blu ray it was wonderful. I heard they were expensive do anyone know where I can get one at a good price.

I'm not buying one because I'm fine with the basic quality of my DVD player. No sense in wasting $800.00, when something better will eventually come out in a short time.

no i will not. the blue ray seems useless to me. i really don't see much of a difference and the main change of blue ray disks is that they just have more extras on the disk like games and other junk that people don't really care much for. there will always be the newer system that is supposed to beat the others and people will spend tons of money always trying to update when in most cases the newer version isn't even that much more advanced than the one before!
