First thing i would do/I did do when i was frst hooking up my system was do LOTS of research, based on what kind of music you listen to, your budget, and how loud you want to be in general. This will determin what kind of sub you want, and amp to power it.

When you get that figured out you can buy everything you need. Head Unit, Amp, Sub, and all the wiring. or if you are on a budget and have to buy in sections i would sudgest the Head Unit, Wiring (make sure you insert a fuse in your main power cable and remove it), then your sub and amp depending on what you want first, all in that order. Wiring your car first makes it easier to just throw your stuff in without as much hassel as doing it all at once and stress stayes down. And if your not comfortable doing it on your own just go to Future Shop, or a car audio shop and they will do it for a small fee.

If your installing speakers you need a multi-channel amp and that side of it is a bit beyond me.

    Good Luck
