I prefer Firefox. Firefox is more compliant for the most part, than IE7, but IE7 has indeed gotten better with displaying pages as expected, especially with handling today's CSS layouts. No browser is 100% perfect but on pure performance, I'd say FF all the way. I say at least try it. If you have a Windoze pc anyway you're kinda gonna have IE anyway so compare them for yourself too.
