    I am using dial up modem connection. My internet speed is 33.6 kb/s. I am

    using AVG anti virus freeware.? Update manager of AVG shows 36.2 MB data remaining to update. But it will take about 4-5 hours time to download. It is not possible for me to download this much at a stretch. Is there any alternative to download a fraction and then rest------

    You've got a problem, all right. AVG should only take a few minutes to load, at the most. If it's taking hours, there is something seriously wrong. Stop the download, uninstall AVG and get either Avira or Avast.
    Personally, I prefer Avast because I've used it for 5+ years without a virus ever getting to my computer. But they are both good.
