    have a 2002 tj with a 5spd manual transmission. how do i off road with a manual jeep?

    i know i need to be in 4 wheel drive and the LOW setting but how do i ride the clutch, brake etc.

    hi.. you never ride the clutch if you are low on budget... normally, you want the clutch in or out. we want to keep the clutch slip or partially in , in the minimum.. so, keep the rpm low (at idle) if possible at all times while rock crawling for example. then use braking instead of using the clutch to slow u down... lag engine to a point then use the clutch out put to neutral while braking at the same time.. in other words you will just have to learn to use the clutch less to control the crawling... good luck.
