sprint error cause code 97 for sending texts?

anyone else having this problem? i have a razr.. and ehm where i live sprint doesn't work very well so our phones are always on roaming.. and it use to always work.. but now that i try to send texts it gives me that error code.. but if i get somewhere that i actually have sprint service... it sends it.. but this is a problem cuz thats rarely anywhere.. i just was wondering if anyone else has heard of this problem or is having this problem. thank you.
 
i seem to have that problem with my new lg rumor phone that i just bought yesterday=( i'm with virgin mobile though.

Im having the same problem with my Virgin Mobile Phone that I got like 3 days ago?? Wth is that any idea?
 
i had that too, what u do is turn your phone off. take the battery out. wait about 2 minutes. insert battery, turn on. it should work., it worked for me
 
Yeah, me too i just got and lg rumor 2 days ago and its been doing this for about an hour, but i'm goignt to try the turning off and battery thing and hopefully it works!
 
I'v had my phone for 3 days and have the same problem, power off/battery removal trick didnt work for me
 
Call 888-211-4727 from a land line and tell the Sprint rep to unblock your phone from sending texts. After the tech unblocks it, you will be instructed to turn off the phone and then back on.
 
i have the same problem. i am with virgin mobile, and i have a lg rumor and i bought it tonight and it wont send texts but it will let me callpeople.. ??:S lol.. Help anyone? :p the battery trick didn't work for mee... :|
 
I have a Virgin Mobile Arc Virgin Mobile Customer Care don't help worth shit- i tried. Alex just spins ya in circles about stupid common sense bull shit. just so ya know..

having the same stupid problem. code 97. class 2. called virgin mobile, ALEX i hate that guy and their are no representatives that answer. virgin mobile sucks
 
I got the Mrbl awhile ago and it's been working fine I guess, started getting slow but I restarted it. Then it was fine, then half the screen was white until i went to the menu or contacts so I restared it

now I can Recieve calls and texts but can't send because of or an error code 34 Class 2.

I want a cell phone that works for christmas. and Beer for compensation for my suffering.
 
apparently virgin mobile is having issues with the texting system. i was told around 10pm to wait for 4 ish hours and try again,... they are trying to fix it as soon as possible and many customers are experiencing this. i got through to a actual person tonight.
 
Jeesus, im having this exact same lg rumour problem.
It's a piss off, and coustomer service wont anwser!
Im trying the battery trick, lets hope
 
yeah, i have an lg rumuor, i just got it today and it lets me call people but it wont let me send or receive texts, i get the error code 97 and apparently my sms is denied or something? idk. but this sucks.
 
i have the same problem! but what i did was bitched at him and through my phone accross the room and they gave me a new one!

this is bullshit i just got mine today!!! and theres no information on their site either!
 
Calling the tech support number above and getting the texting unblocked worked for me.
 
i had same problem too, but i fixed it. all you do is just take battery out and wait for a day
 
it will work. i just called and got through to a rep. when you buy it the people should tell you that your texting won't be activated until 5am the next morning. ..thats why the error code comes up. so don't worry. after 5am. it will work.
