Moms would you pick up a kid from school you dont know?

I picked up my daughter from dance class. It closes at 5 I got there maybe 515. My daughter got in my car with another little girl. I seen her but I don't know her. My daughter asked if I could give her a ride home because the girl told her big sister she was getting a ride home with me (i guess this girls sister was going to pick her up). I said no. I had things to do so I told her to wait at the school. I saw her go to the doors and the were locked (teacher closed up). I asked her how far did she live she said only a couple of blocks so i told her to walk (we live in michigan blocks are not very long)
I was not going to be responsible for someones child, who i didn't know. Would you pick up a kid that you didn't know?
she is 11 i think the girl is 7 or 8 not reallly sure my daughter said she was in the 3rd
she didnt know the numbers i guess i asked and she just looked at me
the streets are one way. I would have had to drive a mile go around the park and a school just to turn down the block she was pointing to. I had errands to run doing all of that would have taken like 30 mins

    its a safe area
well what if i got into a car crash and she died, thats on me to

7 or 8 years old? And you said walk? I know you read the newspaper or at least watch the news.

I would hope to God that someone never left your child to walk home. How about use your cell and call....ok...even worse that she didn't know the numbers. There had to be someone still left at the school.

At least WALK her home if you're worried about being responsible for someones else's child. How responsible would you feel if something happened to her on the way home?

ok, so if it was only a few blocks, remind me WHY you couldnt drop her off. If your uncomfortable with it, then yell at your daughter and tell her never to say something like that again without asking you first.
