...either a knave or a fool? I'm looking for the document in which Lincoln is responding to claims by Douglas that he was not involved in a slavery nationalization conspiracy with president Buchanan, Justice Taney and former President Pierce.

Lincoln remarks something along the lines of Senator Douglas is either lying and a knave, or a fool who was used by Taney, Pierce and Buchanan.

I've been looking for the passage forever and I can't find it. Does anyone know what passage I'm talking about?
