Should I get a stand alone Blu-Ray DVD player or a PS3?

I'm going to get a Blu-Ray DVD player, and I'm trying to decide whether I should buy a stand alone player or just buy a Playstation 3. Which is better? If I bought a PS3, it would be used mainly for the Blu-Ray player. Any suggestions?

It really depends which is cheaper however I would say the PS3 because it has other uses but shop around for the best deal and if they have similar prices I recommend PS3.

If that's the case you should just get a stand alone Blu Ray player, no sense in spending that much for a system that you'll only get for one feature.

ps3 coz the unit can update all the latest firmware automatically.if u get standalone with this feature,it'll b very costly.
