I live in an apartment and have fibromyalgia. Although I don't feel good and have muscle aches and pains I think that your neighbor is just using it as an excuse. I do get headaches sometimes which is pretty normal with fibromyalgia, and I get irritated more easily. I would just tell him to tell you when your noise bothers him when he is feeling badly, and try to comply with him for a bit. If he is that bad that he complains all the time, then he needs to see a doctor for pain meds.

can noise and stereos cause pain in fibromyalgia sufferers?

I have a neighbor that insists my stereo and my dogs barking hurts, we live in an apartment so our noise is kept to a minimum most of the time. He is always hammering and yelling so we son't understand the problem he has with our noise.
