Man just stick with the old simple everlast thumb loop hand wraps. It's way quicker and provides enough protection for your hands. I know from expeience that the 50 foot or less hand wraps with the velcro facining will work just fine in amateur events and some pro shows allow them as well. The universal rule at all events is to use tape and gauze sparringly any way which provides very little protection for your hands. Pre-Made hand wraps come with directions right on the box. My entire team uses the "Everlast" Pre-Made hand wraps .... not one hand injury yet through dozens of fights, including no loss of skin from knuncles. You're not going to get that type of protection with tape and gauze.
