Car dealers who had no qualms or concerns about making the TOUGH suvs and large trucks that gave about 14 mpg. or lesser are now asking for a bailout. Their CEOs were not willing to make better cars until now till their own jobs are at stake. Why must we the common man be responsible to bail out their car companies?

They also make small cars that get very good gas mileage. Ford is bringing its European version of the Fiesta to the US in 2010 and it gets 60 mpg. They also employ millions of people, and work with hundreds of other companies who also employ millions of more people. Trucks are necessary in many cases as they have a much greater utility than tiny cars.

The are holding the US Government ransom, hence refused to be competitive against others

No bailout, no military vehicles for US Army (US has to unconditionally surrender to anyone they are fighting now)
