Do I need to change my 1999 Audi A6 transmission fluid?

I have an automatic 1999 Audi A6 2.8L with 102000 miles on it, and I have no idea if the transmission fluid has ever been changed. The car seems to have a delayed shift during first gear if I press the gas too suddenly. Also, when I let go of the gas, the car seems to slow down a bit more than usual on its own when shifting down a gear.

Do I need to change the transmission fluid? If so, what does it cost?
What would a new transmission cost, if necessary?

Thanks in advance!

Yes it is always nessecary to change trans fluid in transmission usually between every 30000 to 40000 miles transmision creates heat also like an engine fluid and viscosity breaks down and filter usually starts to plug up especially after that amount of miles u have and will cause delay in shifting most new cars electronic controlled transmission and shift by means of solenoids average trans will have bout 6 to 8 of these solenoidsand usually will plug up due to not changing oil ive been building transmission for 20+yrs by all means chang it or your problems will become worse. u can take to and oil changing place like penzoil etc usually cost is about 35 to 50 us dollars they will replace filter and oil. hope this helps
