Can an att iphone 2G(not the new 3G ones)...be prepaid on att?

Can the att iphone 2G be on prepaid on att....or do the have to
be unlocked.....or can i just get the regular Iphone 2g off eBay?

.i have prepaid on att and can i just put the sim card off my old dumb Phone to the iphone 2G that i will buy on eBay?

.bcuz my cousin had an iphone 2g...and sold it to his cousin who had prepaid on att and that he just put the sim card off his prepaid phone to his iphone 2g...

no i do not believe so because the iphone take a specific sim card that is not the same as most phones because i tried to use one of my sims in my iphone and it did not work so i had to switch plans back

i have the same qusetion a s you....lol.i heard u will have 2 get an unlocked phone in order 4 it 2 work...check on overstock.com ..much cheaper
