Tips for traveling to Pakistan?

My wife and I want to travel to Pakistan for a two week vacation next summer. We need some information from experienced travelers before going there.

1. What can we do to make sure we respect local cultures?

2. Will my wife need to wear a hejab?

3. What are the must see places there?

4. How do we get permission to travel to the khyber Pass?

5. Are there ATM's in Pakistan, and will they take American Credit/Debit Cards (Visa)?

6. How much cash should we bring with us?

7. How safe is it for Western Travelers (United States)?

8. What language should we start learning to communicate with locals?

9. Is two weeks enough time to see most of Pakistan?

10. If you have any other suggestions for us, will you be willing to share them with us?

stay very safe, cautious and respectful of their costumes.
they don't really like us Americans, so you have to be CAREFUL, really make sure that people know where you are and try to stay in touristy places, and not in rural places. I don't know anything else about it, but BE SAFE.
