t-mobile sidekick question? help?

okay, so i just bought a new t-mobile sidekick 3 phone off of ebay. I already have t-mobile, i was wondering if i could just put my sim card from my old phone in the sidekick and it'll work. or if i have to like activate it through t-mobile. help please?

well I have a sidekick also ye if u want to use it now go ahead butu won't have unlimited web or text unless u signed up for it with t-mobile so u can use it as a phone but nuthing more until u talk to a rep or oreder the plan from t-mobile
