Holiday in December, any advice?

Hi....i'm after some advise on where would be nice to go on holiday in December. Myself and my boyfriend have a week over xmas and new year and thought we'd make the most of it. Would like some winter sun so would quite like it to be warm, not too expensive, and not too far away as it would only be a 7 day break.

Egypt looks quite good but wanted some advice from you Yahooers! Have you been anywhere this time of year?
