Toothache......?

I had a toothache in my upper left back tooth and it was just like a cavity pain. Orajel helped a lot but it would come back after about an hour and a half.This lasted for about 3 days. The first day was friday and I coudnt find a dentist that would take me,so I went the whole weekend. Sat.,it eased up some and sun. some more. Monday I went to the dentist,he took X-rays and found nothing! He said maybe my tooth is cracked. wouldnt that show on the x ray? could I still have a cavity? Whats up?

It could be your wisdom tooth coming through. The dentist should have seen that though. I had an infection in my gum at the back because of a wisdon tooth but my dentist picked it up straight away. I would go back to the dentist, if there's pain there a problem.

get a second opinion

I think I would either ask another dentist or take the word of the one you already went to. They are definitely going to be better qualifed to give you an answer than anyone here will be.
