Can i trust ebay when buying a cellphone?

I want to buy an unlocked sidekick phone. What are the steps in doing this on Ebay? How do I make sure not to buy from a scammer? Sorry i'm all very new to ebay. Any advice would be helpful, thanks in return! xxx

I have purchased a number of phones on ebay. If the seller has mostly positive feedback, you should have no problems. I purchased 3 cells over the last two years (a palm treo, a blackberry and a tmobile dash) and never had a problem.
