Weight Gainers?

ok so im 16 and pretty skinny..im not anorexic cuz i know that im skinny and i want to gain wait..I have a good body but it wud be perfect with just a couple more pounds and eating isn't helping at all because of my metabolism...I would like to know if taking weight gainers would be a good idea and if so then what kind?...but if not then is there a way to slow down my metabolism by eating in a certain way?

well i don't know about the weight gainers but i am a big person and my Dr told me to stay away from foods that have high fructose corn syrup, he said that it helps the fat build up in your body and is hard to get off
