I have a brand new TI-84 Plus Silver edition calculator. I am considering putting games on it. I found out that to do this, you need to install MirageOS. Is that true? Also, is it safe to use this to put games on my calculator, and if I mess it up, can I restore it. I just want to make sure that I don't brick my new calculator. Thanks.

Yes it is completely safe. This is a good website to get games that you might like or even math formula programs and science applications. ticalc.org and its free. MirageOS is the correct system to run a lot of assembly programs required. You're calculator won't break obviously I'm a stranger I helped by brother set his ti-84 calculator with games and math formula programs (although he's more interested in his jailbroken itouch which I don't recommend)

But people have been using Mirage for a long long time on ti-83 plus calculators and now on ti-84 plus silver edition.
