I don't think it would be chessy at all. It's a rare thing to write a letter these days. But in lou of a gift, I think it depends on how long you have been dating. If no more than 3 months I think a letter and taking her out to a nice place to eat would be fine. If longer I think a small gift she may be counting on. I think if you give a gift with your heart in mind if she truly loves you it will be the perfect gift.

Nah. It depends on the girl. I'm personally not into that stuff, I'd like to see actions rather than words. But yeah, do whatever you want man, you know her better than strangers.

i think its really sweet to right a letter. REALLY, but i think you should take her out to a really nice place also.that way she has fun and i'm sure she would love the letter idea! lol

I suppose it depends on how long you have been together. If its only a year, hold off on the letter unless of course she is really into that kind of thing. Just get her a gift but put a lot of thought into it, do some snooping to what she really wants and hasn't told you.

If you've been together for over that then I say go for it. I love romantic things, but maybe take her out somewhere like a nice place and have the waiter bring it out to her with a rose? This memory will be worth more than ten thousand gifts I promise that!

If all else fails and she is materialistic go with the letter so she knows how you feel as well as a gift you know she will like, although if you really have to choose this option you really need to think about who you are giving your heart to.

All in all I think the second choice is the best, it will make her feel special and loved but don't let her even have a hint what you are doing!
