What Ive found with a lot of people who are 'religious; is that they dont actually fear death because they are assured of an afterlife with God (or whatever the equivalent in their religion)
Evangelicals that I know don't fear death and consider it going home. Studies of death bed dying show that those who are believers typically have deaths that a quiet and spiritual but those who are not go kicking and screaming.
