changing tire size for a tow dolly?

I have an FJ cruiser with 285/70/17 on it. For it to fit onto a tow dolly from one of the companies, i need to change it to a 225/60/17. My only question is, will the vehicle still have enough clearance on the dolly.

should be ok only reason i see for fit would be for strap to fit over tire to hold it down so id get a bigger strap or a smaller tire wouldnt have to be which that size tire might be max size you could go with any 225 / 70 17 woul dbe same thing just shorter id bet that is what they trying to say your tire will be to tall for strap to work.. but it would still fit the dolly buy a couple used tires any size 17 225 or smaller
