Why does my mum always ignore me when I say I'm not feeling well?

Whenever I tell her I'm not feeling well, like a headache or something, she just says 'm' really quietly and ignores me. I just want to stab something because she never cares weather I'm ill or not. Every now and again she says 'Well you still have to go to school tomorrow.' GAH! Everything is about school with her! I've told her that I don't like it when she ignores me, but she just says 'you still have to go to school weather you're ill or not.' GOD it's so annoying. I never plan(ned) on not going to school the day after, and I've told her that, but she doesn't believe me.

What the CRAP can I do!?

    Thanks : )

i know EXACTLY how you feel. It drives me nuts too! grr! I'm curious to see what answers you get. I think part of it may have to do with her just thinking about all of the work you will have to do when you get back. That's just a theory.

She's thinking that you're at it.

She thinks that you're making it up for whatever reason and is probably just predicting that you'll say you're too ill to go to school.

Just don't tell her every time that your head is a little sore, just mention it when it's bad then she wont think you're a hypochondriac.

sounds like ur mum counts the minutes til u leave the house, so unless ur dying, ur goin to school as far as shes concerned so she can do whatever she's doin at home or anywhere else (is she having an affair? ha)

pretend ur goin to school one day, then spy on her. just an idea. mite give u some insight into why she so desperatly wants u away during the day, and with that comes power

    best x

Learn to take care of yourself. It is part of growing up.

If you have a headache, take Tylenol or something. If you stomach is yp set, maybe some tums. If you are not sure what to take, ask your mom and remember what she tells you so you can do it on your own next time.

My guess is that you are telling your mom too often.

Maybe she thinks you are faking? Or a bit of a hypochondriac? It may be her issue - did she grow upin a family where one of her siblings/parents was a hypochondriac and so she automatically assumes this of you too? Or maybe she doesn't like giving too much attention to others? I don't know, this is rather strange, my mum is the same way too.
