Deer Hunting on horseback?

Anyone here ever tried deer hunting while on horseback? What were the results? Good luck or bad luck? It seems like the deer on my property are used to my horses and you can get fairly close for a good shot.

Yeah its good you can get there quicker but be quite as much as possible. You can tie her up and walk on foot some and hunt a for a lil bit then grab her and go again.

Um, yeah, and spook your horse and have it throw you off the back, and end up like Christopher Reeve. Don't you know anything about horses?

I guess if you have ear protection on your horse, otherwise, you'll scare the crap out of it.
