If a blu-ray has only DTS 7.1 Master Audio, will I be able to listen to it on a...

...5.1 Surround Sound system? Purchasing a PS3 and HDTV soon and looking for a reliable and moderately priced surround system... like a Yamaha Soundbar. Since some Blu-Rays come with what appears to be just DTS 7.1 Master Audio (i.e. Hellboy 2, Miami Vice), will I be able to listen to the movie on a 5.1 system?

Thanks for the help... all this HD audio stuff is so new to me

No, you won't. You will need a receiver that supports audio via HDMI connected from PS3 to receiver. Most of Blu-ray movies come with Dolby Digital or DTS 5.1 ( besides HD sounds ), so you can enjoy Digital 5.1 surround sound ( with optical connection ) but HD sounds.
