Can I use an integrated graphics card's VGA connection to utilize my separate GPU?

I am building a computer but I only have a VGA connection monitor. The integrated graphics card has a VGA connection. However, the GPU I am getting (9800GT) only has a DVI. Can I use the integrated GPU's connection and get the power of the 9800GT? I have ordered a DVI to VGA but its not in stock yet. Or do I need to not plug in the 9800GT as it might disable my integrated graphics? Thanks

    no you cant
    they are both seperate things
you having an integrated video card means that your computer has ts own video
therefore you will get higher performance getting a seperate card, which will come with its own connecctor and its adapter

    so nothing to worry about
