Blackberry Pearl personal email account setup?

I would like my blackberry pearl to download and notify me whenever I receive an email to a personal account. The account is accessible via the web (similiar to yahoo) and is a POP3/SMPT server. I can connect to the internet and browse, but I cannot get my blackberry to retrieve messages. At one time my phone was downloading the messages, but I must have accidentally changed a settting. I cannot figure out which one.

Check out your webclient account. You can log on by going to your service providor.blackberry.com. for example if you use nextel go to nextel.blackberry.com or for sprint is sprint.blackberry.com , at&t.blackberry.com, ect. If your email is valid i would recomend removing it from the account and adding it back on. If that doesnt work, call the technical support center for your service providor and they will be able to do some other resets on your account. Email me if you have other issues.
