    rims and tires?

I have stock rims / tires on my car and I wanted to upgrade. I currently have 17 inch rims / tires...

If I get 18 inch, I will need to change tires too? Maybe I should go up to a 20 inch? nah.. i dunno.. I have a sports car. Do you think its worth upgrading or does it look stupid to buy 17 inch chrome rims instead of going to 18inch to save some money?

So how much will that cost?

17 is plenty big enough. Yes you would have to buy tires if you change the wheel size. It will look very stupid. 17s are already on the edge of looking stupid. You end up with wheels that look as if there is no tire on them plus the ride quality of the car is ruined if you go to larger wheels.

You left out the most critical information - year/make/model of vehicle. Without that information no recommendations can be made.
