    How do you change the key battery of a 325i 2002 bmw.?

    I need to change the battery.. Thanks

    Well there are two possible answers here and it depends on the model you have.

    If you have a diamond shaped key (not including the blade) then the key has no battery which you can change and would require a new key or maybe re-pairing with the vehicle.

    If it is of the other kind (rounded on the end) then there should be a panel on the back which you can flip out. Remove the phillips screws x2 and you have access to the battery. Make sure you change it in less than one minute though, ie have the battery out of key for less than one minute.

    If you have a diamond key it may be worth trying to re pair it with the vehicle.
    Sit in the drivers seat.
    Open and close drivers door.
    Turn ignition on and off.
    Hold down unlock button
    Press lock button 3 times.

    When you have done all the keys that you need to turn onthe ignition.
