Democrat mayor refused to use buses to get citizens out of harms way, another day and they could 'get their check'. The next day came sooner than expected, and the poorest of residents wound up stuck. And instead of giving jobs to the many in FEMA trailers, the same mayor brought in Hispanic temp work crews to rebuild.

What you don't realize is that it is illegal for FEMA to respond to a disaster in a state if it hasn't been requested by the Governor of that state. The slow response was because that request was not made.

These laws are contained in the Incident Command system and can be looked up online.

The problem in NO was a Louisana problem not a FEMA problem.

We are lied to every day through the media. At some point we need to demand better. That would be a nice CHANGE don't you think?
