Think about it. Two lines traveling side by side through the endless universe, so close and yet separate and never able to touch. It seems like a cold and lonely existence. What do you think?

Not really, because they're always close to eachother, even though they don't connect. And they're lines...I don't think they really care that much.

They just need to switch to non-Euclidian elliptic geometry so they meet at the poles of a sphere, for example..
