...it normally? my phones screen broke and while im getting it repaired i would like to have a phone, but instead of paying over 100 dollars to get a normal phone i was wondering if putting my sim card into a cheap prepaid phone would work

yes it will work!!! just get one that is either t-mobile or cingular (at&t) pre-paid phones because they have the sim card built in them.

It will work as long as it's a t-mobile branded phone.
