Most Cadillacs are still made in Hamatramck, Michigan. Corvettes are still made in Kentucky. A lot of American car companies have moved over the border into Canada because they're healthcare costs are lower there. A new car company is probably not a good idea. The world has about 50% manufacturing overcapacity in the automobile industry.

You have to have capital to start a manufacturing center that size and the big three American manufacturer's do not have it.

And yet Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mercedes and BMW all have plants here in the United States and seem to be doing well. And, if memory serves, these are all non-union shops that have brought significant prosperity to the areas they're operating in. Hmmm...

Looks like the Detroit tape worm has killed its dog and no amount of money will bring that old dog back to life. Still, I don't feell sorry for the tape worm. Guess I'm just a dog lover.

    Saturn.

Any others mentioned may be made here, but they are made from parts made elsewhere.

    Are you blind?

What model of car sits in your driveway? How about your neighbors driveway? Relatives driveway? Answer that in your mind and then re ask your question.
