BlackBerry Pearl 8100 Wi Fi Question?

My friend has an unlocked iPhone and in that, its like for wi-fi all he has to do is find a hotspot and he can then connect their wi fi network and start browsing or accessing emails. I just got a BlackBerry Pearl 8100 two days ago, now i know my question is seriously stupid, but i lack the knowledge.

I know it is not possible with the normal blackberry to have it connect to the Wi Fi network set up in my house, but i was wondering is there is any other way, to make that possible? and make it similar to that of my friends iPhone?

I am currently in cotract with Rogers, a very big company in Canada, and they manage my BlakcBerry network.

Sorry to say... The 8100 does not support wi-fi. To get Wi-fi, you'll need to upgrade to the 8120
