can you use the sidekick slide with an existing t-mobile plan?

i am currently in a t-mobile family plan with my mom, and i am planing to get a different phone. i was thinking if i buy a sidekick slide, stick my current sim card in the sidekick, and add the data plan, would everything work properly?

If you want to use your t-mobile sim card in your new sidekick slide mobile check whether it is unlocked or it is locked with any particular network. If it locked with any network means you will need to unlock your new sidekick slide mobile. To unlock your mobile, get the unlock code from an online vendor like Mobile-unlocker.com .After unlocking you can use your current t-mobile sim card in your new mobile,it will work properly
