now my iphone is deactivated because i put a lock code and i forgot it, but i want to reset it from itunes, but it says that i cannot because it has a passcode
please what should i do ?

Did you connect it to your computer and from iTunes click on Restore? If not you can call Apple or 1-800-APL-CARE to help you reset the phone. They would probably know more about the hardware than your phone company.
