Unlocked iPhone urgent help needed! Upgrade/unlocked..?

I have an iphone on 1.1.4, and I really want to upgrade it to 2.1 so that I can use my free applications from the appstore! Is there a way to get applications onto 1.1.4? But my big question is if I upgrade my firmware to 2.1 will it undue the network unlock?

Chances are there for the network lock to revert,it depends on the unlock service that you have had.There are permanent unlockers like Classicunlocking.com where they offer permanent remote unlock service for iPhones.So even if you upgrade there wont be any problem.
