setting up my samsung 42" plasma ps42q97hdx?

i bought it and switched it on but i found that when i try and set the picture that it doesn't store it when u switch it off. have to go through the whole process of setting up one picture. when i change the source from cable to xbox 360 i have to reset the picture again, contrast, brightness, etc. please give me answers of how to set up the tv from the beginning?
